Finally managed to install a custom app via Cloudron by following the tutorial documentation, and without installing Docker.
sudo npm install -g cloudron
cloudron login my.example.com
One-click install the Docker Registry App (replace alfa.bravo
below with this app domain) and Build Service App (replace charlie.delta
below with this app domain) via your Cloudron App Store. Configure the latter’s credentials in /app/data/docker.json
via the File Manager
{
"alfa.bravo": {
"username": "CLOUDRON_USERNAME",
"password": "CLOUDRON_PASSWORD"
}
}
and restart the app.
Replace the simple tutorial app with yours:
git clone https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/tutorial-nodejs-app
cd tutorial-nodejs-app
cloudron build --set-build-service https://charlie.delta --set-repository alfa.bravo/echo/foxtrot --tag golf
cloudron install --image alfa.bravo/echo/foxtrot:golf
If you want to update, run cloudron build
again, then call cloudron update
like so:
cloudron build --set-build-service https://charlie.delta --set-repository alfa.bravo/echo/foxtrot --tag golf
cloudron update --image alfa.bravo/echo/foxtrot:golf

Identity | Language | Knowledge
[When we’re starved for deeply meaningful experiences, it becomes easy to counterfeit consciousness and sell us a shell of it.]

[Religion and science collapse the super-container into incomplete representations.]
[The world is fundamentally one being first, unless we separate it into distinctions. Therefore if we destroy it we’re destroying ourselves.]
melodic phrasing feels vaguely baroque; harmonies make giant steps; solid groovy beat; bought this rigtht away
Sullivan Fortner: Once I Loved
mixing multiple voices, dense crunchy textures, jazz harmonies with quirky extensions, slight atonality, never heard this kind of playing.
Sullivan Fortner: Sunny Side of the Street
non-ironically making an older style feel current.
There are no leftist startups.
[As addiction to cigarettes changes your body and turns your into a different person, material progress changes our baseline expectations for what is necessary to live. Solutionism wants to measure progress cumulatively, but this ignores how each stage of development rebases our ‘zero point’.]
I’ve been trying to articulate the false sense of pioneering characterized in the fintech reference at the end: the story that businesses tell themselves and the world about ‘heading towards the future’ while essentially anchoring us deeper into this monetary system; today’s version in my head is “There are no leftist startups.” Yes to acknowledging where we are. 👍🏽
If schemas are like language then they’re also better negotiated through common usage.
Hank Green Unpacks YouTube’s Biggest Problems
[There was a period when books were considered dangerous because we didn’t have the social structures to deal with everyone having access. We’re currently in the messy equivalent with video.]

Chronically making excuses is a missed opportunity to develop resilience through adapting to diverse circumstances.

Genius way to clean carpets / couches!
[Make a natural carpet cleaner with baking soda, dish soap, 2 cups of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and some fresh lemon juice; mix until foamy. Dip in and squeeze a towel, then wrap a saucepan lid to use as leverage before scrubbing.]
